😊 · This is how all hotels should be. The lobby is open and welcome-feeling. The staff was friendly and the room was designed by people who actually stay in hotels (i.e., plenty of outlets, comfortable bed, clever Miele kitchen, great shower).. ☹ · Unfortunately the location is not great for central Amsterdam. It’s on a busy road a bit south of the center (albeit with good transport links). However I f you have business in Zuid, the location is pretty ideal.

😊 · We had a fabulous experience at Hotel Twenty Eight. Very helpful staff, very modern facility. I would highly recommend this to any traveller who is interested in lodging in this location (near Amsterdam Oud-Zuid / Station Zuid). This is a hugely convenient location for people who want to come by car as there is free parking under the hotel as part of the stay and great public transport to the center of town across the street. ☹ · Actually it was a perfect stay. I cannot think of anything that could honestly be improved

😊 · The property itself has the most AMAZING restaurant in the same building and a large super market literally a block away - so you can genuinely cool for yourself in the studio kitchen. We did an English breakfast and it was magnificent. The rooms are a great size for Amsterdam. Big enough to work and sleep and share at the same time. The bathroom has only a shower - but the sauna and gym downstairs have a great wet room compete with plunge bucket. It is a no cash hotel so only accept cards and there is an honesty bar so you can get a night cap any time. Staff go the extra mile for everything. Well trained and really helpful. Overall, excellent value ☹ · It is a little bit out of town. Teams go literally from outside but more nights we got an uber which cost around 10 euros to get back - they also tended to get lost and drop us on the wrong side of the square. Nice little book market springs up on a Friday though. The inside of the hotel is much nicer than the outside.

stayed here for a week, staff always geniune, friendly and helpful, hotel is newly opened in 2017 and nicely furnished. its about 25 mins from central station by direct and frequent tram There are lots of good neighborhood cafes nearby serving better and cheaper food than downtown so its not a problem being out of town a bit, I recommend Jack Plate for an evening meal in a friendly environment and Cafe Vascobello for coffee, cake and breakfast, both are within a 2 minute walk of hotel For day trips we went to Leiden and Haarlem, smaller versions of amsterdam but without the crowds, day trip to the coast at Zandfort and walk to the sand dunes Bloomendaal is also an easy day out. Use the bus between the two places if you get tired of the walk

· Friendly welcoming staff. Maybe trying to be a little too funky, but on the whole very personable people. The layout of the room was remarkable. Quality wood surfaces. Very well designed and also a good use of space to accommodate two ensuite double bedrooms. Very clever design of kitchen, dining and double lounge area, plus business desk area. Also the room had a tranquil aroma. · The hotel design is very interesting but we were let down by the drains of the showers and sinks, which did not drain the water. Mid-shower we were deep in water. The water then took a long time to drain fully.
